Kremiotis Waterfall

Located in the north eastern region of Kritou Terra, Kremmioti River is another attraction in the Pafos Region renowned for its unique landscape, idyllic scenery and astounding flora and fauna. The flow of the river was once extraordinarily strong throughout the year, and two watermills were built there to help the locals with the grinding of wheat and barley; the Kremmioti waterfall is located at the edge of the lake and is a popular location amongst locals and tourists.

Since 2016, the local community has been leading an effort to highlight the natural treasures of the region, particularly the abundant and varied birdlife that use the area as a resting ground. The waterfall is divided into two parts: the cave where water falls through a large hole, and the second part, which is connected to the first through a four-metre tunnel, where water falling on a rock creates an exceptional landscape of natural beauty. In recent years, this unique formation has become a point of reference.
